Art with Personality. Tattoos with a Story.

I’m Soyla Walters—a tattoo artist, artist, and art educator based in Lawton, Oklahoma. Whether I’m tattooing, making art, or leading a workshop, I enjoy helping people bring their ideas to life and feel comfortable getting creative.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Intermedia and spent 11 years as a college professor. Teaching is still a big part of who I am. These days, you might find me teaching at a library, leading Community Art Night, or sharing a table with people trying something new. I offer hands-on workshops for organizations, community groups, and private gatherings, with room to experiment, ask questions, and have fun.

You can find me tattooing at Tried and True Collective, where I enjoy everything from bold traditional designs and colorful characters to black and gray florals, pet portraits, and meaningful memorial pieces. I have a soft spot for the spooky, whimsical, and a little weird—but what matters most is creating something that feels like you.

My certification in positive psychology and training in trauma-informed care shape how I work with people. I value authenticity and want you to feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your ideas, and setting your boundaries. For me, creating a welcoming space starts with listening, respecting your choices, and letting you move at your own pace.

My approach is simple: quality work, honest conversation, and room to be yourself. Come with an idea, a story, or a little curiosity. We’ll build from there.
